Case Overview

Foot Injury - At Workplace

Arturo C was employed as a retail shipment receiving manager, and incurred an industrial injury to his right foot and ankle. While receiving a shipment of merchandise, Mr. C knelt down to inspect a malfunctioning forklift. During the inspection, the forklift lurched and rolled forward, causing severe trauma to Mr. Coronado. His injuries resulted in massive reconstructive surgery, multiple skin graft procedures, and numerous sessions of physical therapy and medication treatment, as well as qualified him for the possibility of future amputation of the injured body part. During the progression of his claim, Mr. C also developed psychological issues as a direct result of complications of his physical injuries, and required extensive evaluation and treatment.

Our client settled his claim for $326,500.00 via Compromise & Release on May 27, 2009 with the San Diego Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
