Marcia H was employed as a clerk for the County of San Diego Juvenile Court system, and incurred an industrial injury to her right knee. While performing the usual and customary duties of her position, Ms. H slipped and fell, injuring her right knee upon impact with the floor. Her injuries resulted in multiple corrective surgical procedures, including an eventual complete knee replacement procedure, as well as numerous sessions of physical therapy. During the progression of her claim, Ms. H developed a secondary injury to her left knee, as well as psychological issues, both of which could be directly attributed to complications of her physical injuries. Both conditions required extensive evaluation and treatment.

Our client settled her claim for $152,062.50 Via Stipulation with Request for Award on February 26, 2009 with the San Diego Workers’s Compensation Appeals Board. Implementation of the Stipulation for Request for Award allows Ms. H to continue to pursue medical treatment for her industrial injuries.
